This class provides methods for two-way conversion:

• Creation of OverlayCollection from marks
• Retrieval of marks from OverlayCollections

Creates an OverlayCollection from a MarkCollection without color information.

Parameters:

marks - the collection of marks

regionMembership - the region membership for the marks

Returns:

a new OverlayCollection

createColor

Creates a ColoredOverlayCollection from ColoredMarks.

Parameters:

marks - the colored marks

regionMembership - the region membership for the marks

Creates a MarkCollection from an OverlayCollection.

Parameters:

overlays - the collection of overlays
