Create or update the specified resource. If the resource already exists in the server, it will be updated. Otherwise, it will be created and added to the container indicated by its path location. If that container does not already exist, it will be created automatically as a BasicContainer. This process will continue recursively until the root container within the LDP is reached.

Parameters:

resource - The resource that is being created or updated within the server.

Returns:

The status code of the operation, either 200 OK for a successful update, or 201 Created if the resource is newly created.
